"Whoever selected Jeff Brown's BUFFALO NEWS review to accompany this page didn't read it very carefully. The bulk of it concerns the reissues of the old Time and Mainstream LPs of avant-garde music (1960-1973) that were extraordinary in their time and still are. (Mainstream also put out Big Brother & the Holding Company's first record and distributed the Flying Dutchman jazz series, to give you a sense of the scope possible in those days.)

Those recordings HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECORDING UNDER REVIEW. The gratuitous brush-off of the Helffer/Arditti set (which is listed elsewhere in Amazon) may work in a daily paper, but it will only confuse/mislead anyone looking at this page. Mr. Brown may prefer other Xenakis works (and Mainstream recorded but one Xenakis works); but how this is relevant here is a complete mystery. Putting Brown's review here doesn't do him any favor; I'd like to think this review made more sense in context.

The fault lies with the editorial staff at Amazon (not the first time). Come on, folks, FIX THIS!
