CD Reviews

Great album and some comments to reviews below

"First of all, the RELEASE of this album is French - that is what the album description above says. (This album is from Axe Killer, which is indeed a French company.) The album description above does not say that the band members are French. That said, if you read the liner notes included with CD, it clearly states the vocalist and the bassist are indeed French. The drummer and guitarist on the live portion of this CD are Americans.

On to the CD itself. If you enjoy polished American hard rock from the late '80's or early '90's, you should definitely check out XYZ. This live document seems to be a fair representation of them. The performance is quite good and the audio quality is also quite listenable. I get the feeling that only part of the set is presented, given that the rest of the disc is filled out with their original demo material. (Which, again, feature a different drummer and guitarist.) The demo material is a far cry in quality from what XYZ would produce on their two studio albums and this disc.

Overall, I really like the disc - it is what it is: a fun hard rock show. And I give a real "tip of the hat" to Marc Richard Diglio. He is really a great guitarist and I don't think he got enough credit for his musicianship."
Good Buy for an XYZ Fan

"All around good CD. Too bad the other XYZ titles are not available"
