Synopsis
Product Description As the title indicates, Facemelter - the anticipated new recording from Y&T - is a hard rockin', song-oriented album that lives up to its name: it captures the band's raw energy and tightness that they've become known for. Featuring heavy grooves, powerful guitars, and strong melodies, the band shows their versatility, delivering a range of high-energy rockers, mid-tempo head-bangers, modern rock grooves, majestic ballads, and signature Y&T rock anthems. To mark the return, the band engaged John Taylor Dismukes - the same artist who designed covers for Y&T's classic albums Mean Streak, Black Tiger and In Rock We Trust - to create the amazing art of the new Facemelter. Face-melting is a term that has been with Y&T since the mid-'70s, when a rabid fan ran backstage and told the band, ''you melted my face'' which inspired the group's first publishing company: Facemelting Music. If you haven't yet taken Y&T's new album for a ride, grab your leathers, strap yourself in, and prepare to have your face melted. Similar CDs |
CD ReviewsBEST ALBUM SINCE IN ROCK WE TRUST Lance Granum | Clovis Ca. | 05/29/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "With a great deal of style and music ability the boys of Y&T have written performed and produced what should be a critically acclaimed work of art. taking on many topics from women to tossing off and cyber trolers who bash the band on their own website Meniketti Kennimore and Nyman have written a classic rock album that no serious fan can live without. The leads are great the melodies are great the lyrics are edgy this is simply the best work Y&T has done since their best selling in rock we trust cd download it today and don't forget the bonus tracks. Guitar god Dave Meniketti has shown the band still has it in their 37th year dont pass this one buy" Just keep getting better!! twin cowboy | NE | 07/04/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Finally a new CD from Dave. If you have ever or never heard Y&T you are missing out. These guys are what rock and roll is all about. No phonies here. Thanks guys!" Y&T facemelter will melt your ears! Thin Timmy | New Orleans, La. | 07/16/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Y&T's new album is smoking! I agree with most of what everyone
said that this is real rock & roll and it's ashame more people don't know what a great band this is! I flew from New Orleans to LA & Chicago to see them 3x & it was worth it! This album shows Menketti is one of the most overlooked vocalist/guitarist ever in rock history! Songs like Shine On, I want your money & Gonna Go Blind are Y&T classics but the entire album rocks! Phil Kennemore continues to write great songs as always & is also overlooked songwriter/bassist! Give credit to the guitarist and drummer who have been with band for while & fit in like the original members & keep the Y&T sound. Long Live Rock & Roll!!! I hope they keep rocking until...forever!" |
