Synopsis

Album Description
"High Impact" is a compilation of Yngwie's most masterful instrumental performances since 1993, including: Arpeggios From Hell, Blitzkrieg, Trilogy Suite Live, Guitar Solo, Brothers, Overtur 1622, Cantabile, Blue Asylum 1, Sky Euphoria 2, Quantum Leap 3, Red House, Badinere, Fugue and Magic City. Containing one Yngwie vocal track, this unique and amazing compilation also captures the guitar god's mind-blowing talents on a very rare live performance of Far Beyond The Sun and a never-before-released bonus track of Yngwie's interpretation of the mega hit classic "Beat It", which contains his own magical touch to the song.

CD Reviews

This is just a compilation of already released material

"What a joke! Anyone who is enough of a Yngwie fan to buy a compilation of instrumentals will already have all the albums that these tracks are lifted from...

These aren't even re-recordings!"

"MOST OF THE TRACKS HERE ARE ALREADY RELEASED. YNGWIE'S VERSION OF "BEAT IT" COULD ALSO HAVE BEEN BETTER. LINER NOTES AND ARTWORK ARE ALSO VERY DISAPPOINTING."
Worthy and balanced composition

"Yngwie Malmsteen has again compiled a worthy compilation of music. With a balance of shred, classical and live music that is sure to safisfy the most loyal Malmsteen fans and new listeners alike who want to see what Yngwie is all about. The cover of Michael Jackson's Beat It however, is a dissapointment and vocally Tim Ripper Owen appears to be dissinterested in his appearance as New vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen as cas been noticed by the lack of feel in the vocals and the annoying backing.

All up a good effort bar the bonus song which failed to get the album five stars."
