Not bad but not the place to start for newcomers

"You Am I have built a solid reputation in Australia for well crafted melodic guitar pop/rock in the style of the Kinks, Small Faces, Replacements, the Who and Big Star. Deliverance finds them going alt-country in a very early seventies Rolling Stones kinda way. Instead of their brilliantly original songs of old, here they have delivered a set of mostly heavily derivative tunes with only Words For Sadness, Til the Clouds Roll Away, Ribbons & Bows and Who Put the Devil In You? worthy of comparison to the rest of their material.Newcomers to You Am I should check out Hourly Daily, Hi Fi Way or #4 Record first to truly appreciate the majesty of this criminally underrated band."
