'Inusual' is an album that transports us back to the times of the great ballads. Great new songs from original songwriters like Samo, lead singer from the group Camila, Mariano Maldonado, Salvador Rizo, (Alejandra Guzmán, Ha*Ash, Yuridia), Alejandro Zepeda (Cristian, José José), among others. This album includes 5 covers that we all love from some of the biggest names in Mexican music; songs like: Aire' (Intocable), 'Si tú te vas' (Los Temerarios), 'Pero te vas a arrepentir' (Marco Antonio Solís y Los Yonics), 'Fuera de mi vida' and 'Como una loba' (both from Valeria Lynch), but in the style that only 'La Güera' can give. 'Inusual' is an album containing incredible ballads that will reach out and touch the heart of all Yuri fans. 'Inusual' also includes 3 uptempo tracks that are certain to be played at radio, and in every Latin club around the country. A fusion between Hindu, Arabian and African rhythms is what make these 3 tracks stand out on the album, as well as a special collaboration on one of the tracks that Yuri assures will be loved by her fans. The producer of the album, Scott Erickson, has also contributed to albums from artists like Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, Peabo Bryson, and most recently, the last 2 platinum selling albums from Mijares ('Vivir Asi' and 'Vivir Asi Volumen II'). The names of the musicians on this album speak for themselves, and pretty loudly. Michael Thompson on the guitars (Madonna, Michael Jackson, Cher, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera), Lee Sklar on bass (Sting, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Santana, James Taylor), Charlie Morgan on drums (Elton John, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Tina Turner), among others. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, California and Mexico City and is being mixed by Rafa Sardina (Luis Miguel, Alejandro Sanz, Stevie Wonder) in Los Angeles, California.
