The soundtrack to (the much loathed/loved) Zombi 3 (1988 - AKA Zombie Flesheaters 2) directed by Lucio Fulci and Bruno Mattei. We gotta say - this is great! Between the 3-or-so cheesy 80's tunes, Mainetti has created some dark, atmospheric stuff (see tracks "Seq.2", "Seq.3" etc) which also has a bit of life in it when required to accompany the action sequences. Sounds a lot like the work of Claudio Simonetti in places. Superb main theme too. Do like we did and set your CD player to skip the tracks that suck. Perfect.
Completely dissatisfied with the the production, Fulci withdrew from the film and ended up directing about 30-40 minutes of it. Though this film is often directly credited to Fulci, he completely disowned it.

Standard Jewel Case. 8 page booklet with (English and Italian language) notes from Antonella Fulci on the events surrounding the 'healing' of her father's swollen belly (symptom of Hepatitus) during the production. Also contains short movie synopsis.
The soundtrack, by Stefano Mainetti, was actually much better than the film. This is the Italian import on Beat records (CDCR 33: Gold Series).
