This is by far my favorite find of last year and probably my favorite album of the year. Zazen Boys blend post-punk, math rock, hardcore, hip-hop, dance and pop seemlessly to make a fun and complex album. Please buy this album and learn of the genius that is Mukai Shutoku." Actually 3 and 3/4 stars - and for the 1st album Ka-ching ka-ching | 08/09/2005 (3 out of 5 stars) "Those interested in Shellac, At The Drive In and possibly Blood Brothers should enjoy this. The 2nd album seems to be a lot more consistent than the 1st. Still, probably one of Japan's most original underground bands at the moment.
