Synopsis

Album Description
Zone D 'Tambora (ZDT is a musical group consisting of four (4) talented young men formed in 2007 in Puerto Rico, by the international star of merengue, Elvis Crespo. ZDT is an innovative conceptual group within the tropical genre that combines four talented artists' voices, stage presence, energetic performances, choreography, and a blend of musical sounds to form a single group whose synergy is like that of no other. Its members are Emilio Acevedo (Emilio), Gabriel Vera (Gabee), Josué Bosque (Joshua) and Pedro Valentín (P'ter); four men who represent the present and future of tropical music. The platform of their music is based out of the rhythmic percussional sounds of merengue music, fused with a very contemporary urban-pop feel. Their lyrics are aimed at a younger audience with the use of present day jargón and compositions that appeal to todays younger generation. In 2007 they recorded the single "La Foto Se Me Borro" with Elvis Crespo, which was the release single in his hit album "Regreso El Jefe". The song was a hit in the tropical music charts catapulting the álbum into success and enabling the group to tour across the U.S. and Latin America. In 2008 ZDT began recording its first production Esto Tiene "Boom Boom" (whose direct translation is: "This has BOOM BOOM") and has allowed two of its singers to flourish as composers. ZDT's worldwide touring was interrupted in August to November 2009, when they were chosen to participate in the first tv season of the reality show "Viva el Sueño" for the Univision network (which aired worldwide). This competition was among 14 new artists that were signed to record labels but had yet released any successful albums. Within the competition, ZDT drastically was able to increase its number of fans, reach the final round and gain public favor due to the originality of their presentations; giving new impetus to the ZDT brand and making them a phenomenon within the youth of today. Emilio Estefan, famous producer and one of the world's most influential Hispanics in Latin music, commented: "Zone D 'Tambora has an impressive future because it gives young people a spectacular sound unheard by anything today". Zone D 'Tambora first album "Esto tiene "Boom Boom" hits stores in December 2009, under the labels Sony Music and Nulife Music Entertainment.
