An undiscovered gem

"Zrazy (Maria Walsh, vocals and Carole Nelson, sax, both from Ireland) are joined by a very tasteful piano-bass-drums trio on a set of moody, sexy and jazzy tunes. Maria's voice is seductive, always under control, while Carole's sax work is a perfect complement, sometimes sweet, sometimes tart. Their previous recordings, which I also enjoy, are more pop-oriented, but this one sounds like the group has been playing in a jazz style for years. My favorites include originals "Cry Baby" and "I Just Like to Drink Alone" and the classic "God Bless the Child." This is a versatile group that truly deserves wider recognition."
The obvious title: crazy about Zrazy

"This is an excellent CD, of VERY sexy jazz, great backgroud or foreground music, and their lyrics are very good...I especially like the words to "Remember (that you did it first with me)." I got to see them perform in New York in April, and they are even better live. Don't miss this one."
