I thought I'd start a topic just so they wouldn't all be empty! What's the best soundtrack you've ever listened to? You know, it has all (or almost all) great songs, and you don't have to skip every other track.. I have a tie between two. 1) The soundtrack to Once More With Feeling, the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (If you're not a BtVS fan, you probably wouldn't appreciate it.) 2) The Garden State soundtrack. I swear, EVERY track on it is great. I can listen to it on repeat for days and not get tired of it. |

Most of my listening is talking books. So if I want the whole story, I have to listen to the whole thing. Have not heard either of that ones you list. Understand you can build your own album by pulling tracks you like from whatever source to make a tape for commuting or the waiting room. Don't know anything about it except the word "ripping" pops up in the discussion I have overheard about it. |

Well, looking through my cd's here, the only soundtrack I have is "More Music from the Motion Picture The Wedding Singer" which is pretty good. In the past, I used to listen to the Footloose soundtrack, the Flashdance soundtrack, and the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. But all those were back in the days of cassettes lol.

favorite is City of Angels.....also love Philadelphia soundtrack and Selma Songs by Bjork for the movie Dancer in the Dark (a great movie also) Hubby will drive me crazy listening to Top Gun with the volume cranked up. |
I love the Top Gun soundtrack which at the beginning is especially good for working out on the treadmill. And Dirty Dancing and Grease will always be favorites of mine. |
I like soundtracks, but love scores. Last of the Mohicans (Trevor Jones & Joel McNeely) is probably my favorite, followed closely by Much Ado About Nothing (Patrick Doyle). My favorite soundtrack at the moment is Lilo and Stitch.
Oh, I love the Lilo and Stitchsoundtrack!
Okay...alltime fav soundtrack has to be Grease! I could just listen to those songs over and over and over.......
I really like listening to The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink.
Hmm. It's a toss up, but I'd have to say my most-played is Angus. Favorite? Not sure if it's my absolute favorite, but I do listen to it a lot. I don't really own too many soundtracks, if I like a song off a movie I buy the whole album.
Well, my favorite movie is Empire Records, and I tend to listen to that CD a lot...hmm, this site will be an amazing way to up my soundtrack collection my boyfriend will be *so* thrilled
My favorite is The Phantom of the Opera (the movie version w/Gerard Butler). I've even managed to hook my 19 year old son on this movie & soundtrack ;-)
Jerri, I'm with you. I can take or leave Emmy Rossum and Patrick Wilson, but the orchestra is amazing.
Grease, by far | ||
The Labyrinth soudtrack
Depending on my mood, it's a toss-up between "Searching For Bobby Fisher" or "Braveheart" (both James Horner's work). Usually in soundtracks there's always a few tracks I could do without, but both of these I can listen to all the way through without wanting to skip anything.
I like the soundtrack to "The Last Temptation of Christ." Never seen the movie, but the soundtrack is sweet.
depends on whether we're talking about film or theatrical soundtracks... for films, i'd HAVE to go with labyrinth, evita and highlander for musical theater, i have to go with les miserables and miss saigon Last Edited on: 8/8/06 6:09 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

The sound track from 'The Last Action Hero'. This CD is full of great 80's and 90,s metal and rock bands.
For me, number one has to be Easy Rider! But Apocalypse Now and The Doors are numbers two and three. Wow, this is making me think about all the great soundtracks there are out there - I hope they get posted!
I love soundtracks. It's a three way tie between Reality Bites, The Saint and Hackers.
Soundtracks are the best. My favorite is So I Married An Axe Murderer and it is my favorite movie as well. I also like most of the ones listed above especially Empire Records and Dumb and Dumber (didnt like the movie but soundtrack is great). As for Scores my favorite is Last of the Mohicans and 1492.

Ok no laughing people! The quantum Leap soundtrack is great! I in particular love Somewhere in the Night sung by Scott Bakula. He also does well with the old John Lennon tune "Imagine". If you can't sleep the easyness of his voice can put you in dream land.Sorry about the shameless plug.

Hands down the soundtrack from 'Blow.' Having Johnny Depp on the cover is a nice extra. ;)
Mine is "The Producers".
