A country song from late 70's I believe. Only thing I know is one small line of lyrics from the chorus: "These lights don't hold a candle" or could be "these nights don't hold a candle to what you're going through". Male artist. Does anyone know the name of the song and artist.

It is most likely Merle Haggard on the album Kern River, this song was written and made famous by Dolly Parton.
