If the CD has not been received by the 21st day after it was marked mailed by the sender:
- It will be declared Lost in the Mail at SwapaCD, and you will be notified by email.
- Your credit and your $0.49 in swapacd money will be refunded at that time.
- The CD will also be automatically placed onto your Wish List.
- If there is no available copy, the CD will go onto your Wish List as an active item on auto-request
- If there is an available copy, the CD will go onto your Wish List on hold.
- You can change it to an active item/request it from your Wish List
- We do recommend that you wait a few days for the "lost" CD to arrive, to avoid getting 2 copies (lost CDs are not always truly lost; they sometimes show up a few days late)
- If this was a Wish Listed CD originally, then you will go back into your previous place in the Wish List and will be offered the next available copy.
- You will receive reminder auto-emails to mark your CD received at regular intervals after it was marked mailed:
- These are helpful to some requestors who forget to do this after getting a CD.
- Marking a CD received as promptly as possible after receiving it and playing it to check for playability is essential to maintaining your account in good status at SwapaCD.
- If a "lost" CD was mailed LATE, it may not actually be lost.
- You should check with the sender of the CD to verify that (and when) the CD was mailed.
- If the sender says that the CD was mailed, and there is a new request in your account, you should probably cancel the new request to prevent yourself from getting 2 copies of the same CD.
- You can always re-request the CD later if the "lost" CD doesn't arrive by a week after it was declared lost.
- When a Lost CD is received, it must be marked received from your Transaction Archive, accessible from a link on the My Account page, or from the dropdown menu under My Account in the grey menu bar at the top of the site.
- To do this:
- sort your Transaction Archive by: Requested by Me - Lost in Mail - Date Requested - Descending.
- Find the CD in the list
- Check to be sure the name on the right of the transaction matches the sender's name in the return address on the CD you received
