If your CD became separated from the packaging en route, and is not recovered by USPS by the system action date, it will be considered Lost in the Mail automatically on the 21st day after the date it was marked mailed.
- If this happens, you should contact the requestor to let him or her know what happened.
- Call 800-ASK-USPS or go to www.usps.com/postalinspectors (the Postal Inspection Service's website) and input the information online there . This will help USPS try to recover the CD.
- Contact us so that we can cancel the transaction
- the requestor will get her credit back and she can try to get the CD from someone else.
- If you receive the CD back from USPS and it is not damaged and is still playable, you can re-post it to your CD Tower.
